【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiessafetyrequirementsrelatingtothematerials,construction,performance,packagingandlabellingofsootherholders.Itincludestestmethodsforthemechanicalandchemicalrequirementsspecified.AllproductsthatareintendedtoconnectasootherforbabiesandyoungchildrenwithanyotherproductareincludedinthescopeofthisEuropeanStandard.ThisEuropeanStandardisintendedtoprovidesafetyrequirementsforsootherholderswhicharegenerallycomprisedofastrapwiththeholderatoneendwhichretainsthesootherwhilsttheotherendhasaclaspthatattachestothechild'sgarment.WhereasootherholderhasbeenclassifiedasatoyorconsideredtohavesignificantplayvaluethenthesootherholderwillhavetomeettheessentialsafetyrequirementsfortoysasstatedintheToyDirective(88/378/EEC)inadditiontothoseinthisEuropeanStandard.Theadditionofdecorationsorprovidinganimalshapedfastenersshouldnotautomaticallymakethesootherholderatoy;howevertheadditionofatoycomponenttothesootherholderwillrequirethatboththesootherholderandthetoymeettheessentialsafetyrequirementsasstatedintheToyDirective.WherethereisdoubtconcerningclassificationofasootherholderasatoythenadviceshouldbesoughtfromanEUToyNotifiedBodyortheMemberState'sCompetentAuthorityfortoys(seeB.2).
