【摘要】:Theenergyinputratetestisusedtoconfirmthatthepastacookerundertestisoperatinginaccordancewithitsnameplaterating.Water-boilefficiencyisaquickindicatorofpastacookerenergyefficiencyperformanceunderboilingconditions.Thisinformationenablesthefoodserviceoperatortoconsiderenergyefficiencyperformancewhenselectingapastacooker.Thepastacookertemperaturecalibrationisusedtoensurethatthepastacookerbeingtestedisoperatingatthespecifiedtemperature.Temperaturecalibrationalsocanbeusedtoevaluateandcalibratethethermostatcontroldial(s).Preheatenergyandtimecanbeusefultofoodserviceoperatorstomanageenergydemandsandtoestimatetheamountoftimerequiredforpreheatingapastacooker.Idle/simmerenergyrateandpilotenergyratecanbeusedtoestimateenergyconsumptionduringnon-cookingperiods.Productioncapacityisusedbyfoodserviceoperatorstochooseapastacookerthatmatchestheirparticularfoodoutputrequirements.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheenergyconsumptionandcookingperformanceoffloor-modelandcountertoppastacookers.Thefoodserviceoperatorcanusethisevaluationtoselectapastacookerandunderstanditsenergyconsumptionandproductioncapacity.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletofloorandcountertopmodelgasandelectricunitswith1000to4000-in.3cookingcapacity.Cookingcapacityisameasurementofavailablecookingvolume.Thedepthofthecookingcapacityismeasuredfromtheheatingelementsorheattransfersurface,orboth,tothewaterfillline.Thewidthismeasuredfromtheinsideedgeofthecookingvatacrosstotheotherinsideedgeofthecookingvat.Thelengthismeasuredfromthefrontinsideedgeofthecookingvattotherearinsideedgeofthecookingvat.1.3Thepastacookercanbeevaluatedwithrespecttothefollowing(whereapplicable):1.3.1Energyinputrate(11.2),1.3.2Water-boilefficiency(11.3),1.3.3Preheatenergyconsumption,time,andrate(11.4),1.3.4Idle/simmer(11.5),1.3.5Pilotenergyrate(11.6),and1.3.6Pastacookingpreparation(11.7).1.4Thistestmethodisnotintendedtoanswerallperformancecriteriaintheevaluationandselectionofapastacooker.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thistestmethoddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
