【摘要】:ThisguideillustratesgeneraldetailsfortypicalconditionsthatmaybeencounteredonanEPDMsheetroofingsystem.ThisguidedoesnotaddressallrequirementsassociatedwiththeinstallationofEPDMmembraneflashing,suchasmembranecleaningandsurfacepreparation,fastenerspacing,adhesiveapplicationandotherseamingrequirementswhichmayvarybymembranesystemsupplier.Insulation,fastenertypes,protectionmats,stoneballast,pavers,andrequirementsforperimeterattachmentarenotcoveredbythisguide.Thedesignershallreviewtheprojectrequirementsandconsultthemembranesystemsupplier,buildinginsurer,andlocalbuildingcodesforspecificrequirements.1.1Thisguidecoversthedesignofdetailsfortypicalconditionsencounteredinnewballasted,mechanicallyattachedorfullyadheredethylenepropylenedieneterpolymer(EPDM)sheetroofsystems.1.2ThisguideillustratesgeneraldetailsfortypicalconditionsthatmaybeencounteredonanEPDMsheetroofingsystem.Theguidewillassistthedesignerinpreparingdetailsforeachspecificconditionthatmayoccuronaproject.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theconventionalunitsgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
